This poem is a bit outdated now, in the year 2001, but I still like it. The inspiration was translating a series of letters dealing with the then upcoming Y2K problem.

Dear Sirs,

The millennium is coming.
Did you notice?
Are you aware?
Do you believe there might be a problem?

We must confess that
we don't know whether there will be a problem,
but we're trying to find out,
and we're following DIN-standardized procedures
to make sure that the millennium bug doesn't bite us.

So we think it is safe to say
that JAFO ORAS oil-and-water-separators
will continue to function after January 1st, 2000.

Of course, should the world end before that date,
this issue might become irrelevant.
But should there be an oil-spill in hell -
rest assured -
we will take care of it.
